Classic Knitwear For Men With David Gandy

Today's post features some great examples of wearable, classic men's knitwear featuring Mr. David Gandy. Clothes love this man and so does the camera. Nothing Avant Garde, no reinvention of the wheel, just handsome examples of fine gauge knits, bulky knits, cables and brioche, shawl collars and cardi's, and a few eye candy shots! All great examples of why knitwear will always be a key element of any wardrobe. Inspiration indeed!

Happy Knitting.

2015 Menswear Forecasting: Neil Barrett

Valentino Pre-Fall 2015

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino have a definite impact and influence on what trickles down to fashion and textiles in a broader, more accessible world of massed produced clothing. Their Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 Womenswear collection was a feast for the senses; the use of pattern and colours, the proportions, the combinations of fabrics and embellishment, the styling, the creativity in collaborating with UK textile designer Celia Birtwell for the floral prints and embroideries. Very pretty.

Pringle of Scotland's A/W 2015 Menswear Collection features a gorgeous array of men's ready-to-wear, with intricate knitted and woven fabrics, beautiful outerwear, topcoats and knits. Pringle excels at developing unique fabric textures and great styling, all under the direction of Massimo Nicosia. Take influence from the subtle colour palette of this beautiful double-faced topcoat worked in a fine gauge knit braided cable stitch, tonal argyle turtleneck sweater and pumice wool cuff pants.
